Year in Review (2021| 2022)
2021
2021 was the year of… transformation, resilience, flow, play, spontaneity, exploration, learning, introspection.
The title of the book of this year would be both literally and figuratively <I’m in: Say yes when life invites you>, just like the book I published in Korea in December 2021.
Some of my greatest accomplishments this year include the following:
Lived a nomad life, 2 months in mexico, 5 months in panama
Left my 14 year career in “corporate/startup America”
Became a full time coach, a yoga and meditation teacher, in training for hoffman process teacher
Published a book documenting my own personal transformation in Korea
Came up w my personal mission - Meditate, Serve, Play - and designed a life that is aligned with this
I was able to achieve this by saying yes, exploring the edges of my own boundaries, and believing in myself.
The biggest risk I took is to leave my w-2 job embodying the abundance mindset. This had me face my own fear and the scarcity mind heads on. And I learned that once I stepped into the fear, there was nothing to be afraid of.
The best decision I made this year is to align myself with my desire so I manifested a life of my dream where I spend a lot of time in nature, attend spiritual retreats, and indulge in my creative pursuit such as writing.
The best thing I discovered about myself is how creative I am and how much I love the process of writing.
The most important lesson I learned this year is that everything is really within myself. Even when I am lost, confused, heartbroken, I am infinitely resourceful as long as I am in touch with the spiritual self within. And the best way to access that essence is to pause and sit.
Three most people who influenced me most are Min, Kay, and Ros. Special tribute to Min: I am so deeply appreciative of her for being my inspiration and my rock. Min inspired me to write my book when she herself published her book in 2020. After my random call to her in April 2021 announcing her that I was going to write a book, she became the source of infinite encouragement and support, the best travel buddy (across NYC, Panama, LA, and Korea), the funniest self designated <I’m in> book marketing manager, and my confident. I love you, and thank you.
Lastly, the ultimate truth I discovered this year is that life is a joy. Life is a brief blip between two mysterious points, birth and death. And the fact that I get to have this life is a miracle. So I choose joy in my life.
2022
With the ideas in motion, my coaching company Embrace and my book <I’m in> find their own paths to touch as many lives as possible. As a result, we all become more aware, joyous, and harmonious, and let abundance flow through.
I am finally ready and want to meet an amazing life partner so we explore the world and spirituality together, support each other in our respective paths to realize our dream, and co-create whatever that is meant to come true through our relationship.
I commit to do more body based experiences from aerial silk, pole dancing to tantric practices so I get out of my head and lead from my heart and body.
I commit to be that grounded Goddess that I already am — who knows exactly what she wants, is brave to act on her desires, and surrenders to what is with kindness, grace, compassion, and wisdom.
Lastly, I want to meet more writers and artists to collaborate in creating something that speak our truth. In that way, we spread love in this world in a beautiful, inspiring, and thoughtful way.
In closing, I believe anything and everything is possible in 2022, and forever.
