My path to healing

In my process of exploring what being a coach (and a healer) means to me, one of the early lessons I learned is that being a coach means to be present, open and allowing. It is not about advising, mentoring or fixing. The fundamental belief here is that we are all equal and naturally creative, resourceful and whole. It is about honoring the dignity in each of us and the sacredness of each other’s story. Only then, inner wisdom will arrive at its own timing.

In order to be present and hold space for others, I’ve been relentlessly focused on doing my own inner work -- if I haven’t faced my own shadow, how can I be a mirror for someone else’s shadow without being triggered? So I was determined to go within as deeply as possible by trying all different modalities from Hakomi to Hoffman Process. After months of doing the work, I realized that these modalities are all interconnected. So I started to lay them out and that became this map, My Path to Healing. This map illustrates the modalities that I have tried and I know there are many other healing modalities so it does not claim to be comprehensive. My hope is to share my understanding of how each of them fits in this courageous journey of healing.
